Prof Bjoern Schelter
Chief Analytics Officer
Professor Schelter started at TauRx in January 2015 and is also Chair Professor for Applied Mathematics at the University of Aberdeen.
He assumed his position as Professor in Applied Mathematics in 2014 after a two-year Senior Lectureship position at the University of Aberdeen and a six-year position as a Hochschuldozent at the Freiburg Centre for Data Analysis and Modelling at the University of Freiburg, Germany.
After initially being part of the DVMB team as Data Analytics and Biostatistics Lead, he assumed his current role as Chief Analytics Officer in February 2023. His main role is to provide the strategic link between Biostatistics/Data/Output/Results and Regulatory, Commercial, and Financing and to act as a subject matter expert in the areas of data analytics, data science and statistics. In his role, he designs new strategies and approaches, analyses, study designs, etc needed to support Regulatory, Commercial, and Financing activities.
Prof Schelter is also CEO of TauRx sister company GT Diagnostics (UK) Ltd.
